Wish List
We’re dreamers here at Jobsite, so why not aim high? Below you will find a list of things that we dare to dream for. Can you help us out? In-kind donations are as valuable to us as cold, hard cash. Do you have any of these things in good or working condition? We would certainly put them to good use. Remember, Jobsite is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and all donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
- Climate-controlled storage space (minimum of 10 ft. x 10 ft.). Our current storage unit is overflowing with costumes, set pieces and props. An additional unit would really help the cause!
- Front office space (large enough for two office desks and a filing cabinet). We’re really not picky, but a place to put our interns and apprentices at work during the day, and/or a place for us to be able to hold daytime meetings is something we’d love to have.
- Climate-controlled rehearsal space (minimum of 20 ft. x 20 ft). The Straz Center is a busy building and only getting busier. Sometimes it is a real challenge for us to find a spot to rehearse, and that can get even trickier once we begin to load in the set, which makes our usual space unusable for a few days.
- An apartment, hotel, guest cottage, or mother-in-law to house our artists on occasion. We hire locally, but sometimes folks do come from as far as Sarasota and the time of day or weather makes us desire a spot to put folks up when necessary, Sometimes we also bring down playwrights and other important guests and currently have nowhere to put them.
- Gift cards to local businesses that we can use as incentives for volunteers or thank-you’s for artists: massage, food and beverage, hair and beauty, anything with value that someone would appreciate as thanks.
- Fundraising auction items: cards as described above, gift baskets, hotel or airline vouchers, art, jewelry, event tickets, unique experience, etc.
- iMac (desktop), MacBookPro (laptop), or iPad Pro (tablet) to dedicate to the theater.
- High-capacity or 3D printers.
- Multi-media projectors and/or portable screens. The higher lumen/candela the better. We would love to have something 20k lumen or higher.
- UHF wireless mic packs that operate within new FCC guidelines (Shure or similar)
- Theatrical lighting instruments, preferably LED technology.
- Unused lumber in good shape, particularly plywood, 2x4s, 1x4s, 2x2s, luan sheets, masonite sheets.
- Unused exterior or interior paints.
- HDMI cables 25′ and longer.
- Roller covers (paint roller)
- Boxes of paint rags
- Painters tape
