Over the course of the 2017-18 season Producing Artistic Director David M. Jenkins will undertake a project to put together a job description and a justification for an assistant-level position to help the often-underwater administrative and artistic leader of the company. At this time he’s considering at least two part-time apprentices to help him get this together, while also helping him accomplish the many tasks that demand of his time. We’re happy to announce the first, Victoria Rios, who you may start seeing as of tomorrow canvassing the many businesses around town who are kind enough to put up our posters and flyers. Say hi to her if you run into her, she’s very good people!
Jenkins was first impressed by Rios as her professor in a few courses in the USF Theatre and Dance Dept., and saw her tenacity and willingness to pitch in come to life outside of the classroom while she volunteered as a technical assistant during the Tampa International Fringe Festival.
Victoria Rios (Assistant to the Producing Artistic Director) has been an active participant in the Tampa area theatre community for over 15 years as a performer, instructor, and writer. She is currently pursuing her BA in Theatre Arts at University of South Florida. She is thrilled to be working with Jobsite and cannot wait to explore the production side of theatre in a professional setting. She would like to thank David Jenkins for the opportunity and her family for being so supportive!
