We have SO MUCH to celebrate this year and we sincerely hope that you’re able to come down and join in the fun! If you’ve already picked up your tickets — THANK YOU! If not, we hope you will today. As an added incentive, anyone who purchases a ticket by the end of the day on Oct. 4 will be automatically entered into a drawing for a free HP 7 Slate Plus tablet!
We have gourmet bites from The Refinery, Rooster & the Till, The Birchwood plus beer, wine and signature cocktails courtesy of The Independent Bar and Cafe and The Still in the Heights. Our friends at New World Brewery and Cafe Hey have also just agreed to bring by some of their delicious nibbles, and we’re prepared to keep adding food and drink partners up until the event! Confirmed food offerings include two kinds of steamed buns (grilled butternut squash with miso, pickled red onion and toasted macadamia or pork belly with kimchee and srirachi aoli), Buttifarra sausage with a goat milk arepa and white bean ragout, and a pumpkin-lavender pot du cream with a ginger snap crumble. We will have kosher as well as vegetarian options on hand.
Belle Fleur Studio has graciously helped us with gorgeous arrangements (as well as a wonderful silent auction item), and our team of volunteers are working their fingers to the bone to make this a night you’ll not soon forget!
But wait, there’s more!
We’ve got an additional surprise musical performance in the works, we’ll have a photo wall set up for souvenirs, and we’ll announce for the first time the title that Israel Horovitz will be coming down to direct for us as a staged reading in February. Last but not least, pending on a final contract signing we hope to announce our summer 2015 musical. WHEW! It’s going to be a great night! Put on your summer cocktail attire or Mad Men/’60s inspired duds and come on down for a GREAT time for a good cause!
Can’t make it? You can still make a difference. Please consider purchasing a ticket and donating it back to us so that an ensemble member may attend at no cost, or simply make a donation our website. Your gift will make an immediate impact on the quality of our work and the lives of our artists who make it.
On Deck
Finally, our Halloween show may not even open until the end of the month, but performances are already selling out. We can’t wait to share the hilarious camp-comedy burlesque Vampire Lesbians of Sodom by the masterful Charles Busch! Get those tickets while they last, first preview is Oct. 29, and our official opening night is on Halloween, Oct. 31. This high-energy taut performance will be 75 minutes with no intermission, leaving you loads of room to make additional plans after the show.
Thanks again for all you do to keep Jobsite rockin’!
