Our production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is, in a sense, a three-headed changeling child of sorts thanks to the collaboration between director David M. Jenkins, composer Jeremy Douglass, and choreographer Katrina Stevenson who’ve come together to create their world for this magical romantic comedy. Inspired by classical greek dress, ’80s synth-pop fantasy films/soundtracks, and the art nouveau movement they’ve come together to create a unique environment for audiences to experience this beloved story in both an intimate and exciting way. Take a listen to some of the music that has inspired their individual work and the original score that has come together for the production, beginning previews Jan. 15! Can you guess which songs belonged to which artist? Take a guess in the comments!
