Creative Loafing See & Do Picks
Last night’s preview went smashing. It was a very enthusiastic, appreciative audience (well, except for the two patrons who left after a bit of particularly nasty business on stage about 30 minutes into the show – don’t people read about what they’re coming to see?) who in the end gave the show a standing ovation. We had 90% of our tickets sold, an unheard of attendance for a preview of any of our work.
I spoke to many audience members after the show – all who had very complimentary things to say about the production as a whole.
In many ways it didn’t even feel like preview, it really felt like opening night. I’m very much looking forward to coming to tonight’s show merely as an audience member. As director, my job is officially done now.
Get your tickets fast, folks. We only have 5 tickets left for tonight’s show as of the writing of this post.
