This might be one of the coolest Easter Eggs in a Jobsite show. In the pre-show music for All New People, there’s a song you’ve never heard before, and it’s too cool not to point out. It was composed and recorded for the show by local Lara Wolf, per a request by the director, Paul Potenza.
According to Paul, the story goes like this
Lara is the fourteen-year-old (SRSLY?!) daughter of Ed Wolf, who works with Paul. One day, Paul’s wife (and Jobsite perennial) Roz bought Lara an acoustic guitar. As a way of saying thanks, she came into Paul and Roz’s store, Design One Jewelers, and performed a song she wrote. Paul was so impressed, he asked Ed if Lara would be interested in writing a song for All New People. He told her what the show was about and let her read the script. And she recorded “Falling”. This girl deserves a recording contract.
