Donations to help Jobsite offset recent losses are being matched through Oct. 10!
Anonymous donors have stepped in with a $5,000 matched gift, meaning every $1 raised from the public is matched dollar-for-dollar — doubling your gift’s impact. This couldn’t come at a more critical time.
Jobsite needs to soften the blow of having canceled performances across three successive weeks.
Our opening weekend of Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile was interrupted with COVID cases that kept us off the boards through the entire next week. We added performances over what would have been our final two weeks to make up for the losses, but Hurricane Ian had other ideas — forcing us to lose another half week.
The show reopened Sat., Oct. 1, and will remain on stage through the original closing date, Oct. 9, but the financial hit is estimated to be at least $15,000. This loss is heavy after the past two and a half years.
Donating to this challenge would help eliminate at least half of the loss.
All public funds raised through Oct. 10 will be applied to the match, and all proceeds from the challenge used to offset the budget for Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Gifts may be made at jobsitetheater.org/donate, by PayPal or Venmo @jobsitetheater, or by check mailed to PO Box 7975 Tampa, FL, 33673-7975.
