What It's About
Linder, the co–writer of Five Lesbians Eating Quiche, sets his play in the town of the same name and is the story of a young, working class, unapologetically redneck couple Jim and Laurel Parker. Laurel is expecting the couple’s first child.
As the story unfolds it becomes apparent Jim is not the father but rather an African American man Laurel had a previous affair.
Byhalia, Mississippi is a story of love, error, forgiveness, class and race.
