Tierra Bonser
Tierra holds a BA in Theatre Studies with a concentration in performance and dramaturgy from Emerson College in Boston. After working as a dramaturg on productions of R.U.R, Much Ado About Nothing, Darling: a new musical, and The Golden Age, she was invited to enter her work into the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) and was selected among the top competitors to participate in the Kennedy Center MFA Playwrights Workshop of 2012 in Washington, D.C. There, she worked as an assistant dramaturg in the development and staged reading of a brand new play by Chris Weikel, Embrace. During her time in Boston she acted as the drama program director for private high school in Cambridge where she directed two plays and lead students in pursuit of theatre arts. Tierra graduated summa cum laude and was awarded as an outstanding senior in her major. She also stage managed for the Annisquam Village Players in Gloucester, MA for a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and has experience as a technical assistant in a small blackbox cabaret performing space. Currently, Tierra is working to develop a new musical, while pursuing her passion for dramaturgy by reaching out to the arts communities of Tampa and Sarasota to develop and deepen the involvement of dramaturgs in the theatrical process. She is both thankful and humbled to work with Jobsite theatre and is, as always, excited to be reacquainted with Much Ado.
