Last week we confirmed major funding for our Shakespeare programming and outreach. This week we are thrilled to announce that we made our 2016 Annual Campaign goal. It’s too early to make an official announcement, but we also have word that we’ve been approved by another foundation for an outreach grant and will pass that information along as soon as we have it. This is a fantastic end of the year: a record number of season ticket holders for 16-17, a start of the season in The Underpants that far exceeded our expectations, LIZZIE could not have rocked harder, we’ve secured foundation funding that will set the cornerstone for our outreach program, and undertook a successful first Annual Campaign. We’ll take it all! 🙂
I cannot thank you all enough for your contributions to Jobsite. They come in so many forms. You are our collaborators, our partners, our donors and sponsors, our advisors and consultants, our fans, and most importantly our friends. Everything we are and everything we will be is directly linked to each and every one of you.
If you would still like to make a tax-deductible donation before the end of 2016 it just takes a few clicks.
As You Like rehearsals are now underway, we even have a few PR images. Shows are already beginning to sell out and so we strongly urge folks to pick up tickets in advance. TRIVIA: our Shakespeare productions consistently enjoy sold-out runs and are our highest-grossing productions outside of the musicals we do in the Jaeb. If you don’t already have your seats and want a deal pay attention online Dec. 12-13 when we offer a 48-hour sale on the rest of the season (30% off) and As You Like It previews Jan. 11 and 12 ($10).
Stuff that bears repeating:
- Work with a school (public, private, home)? We’re still looking for groups from middle school through college to partner with on As You Like It (Jan. 11 – Feb. 5). We have a number of daytime matinees available and can work with your group to offer a custom package that not only fits your educational needs but your budget. In some cases we can offer these programs at no cost due to the generosity of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. We also have opportunities available for all performances of our standard run not currently sold out. Please reach out for more information.
- Set us as your preferred charity when you shop at Amazon.com: use this direct link smile.amazon.com/ch/59-3561564 and they’ll donate a % of your purchase back to us. There are also plugins for Safari and Chrome that allow you to make this arrangement permanent. So easy!
- VOTE: take a sec and vote in the regional BroadwayWorld.com awards. We’ve been nominated for Best Professional Theater Company and SILENCE! The Musical and Time Stands Still have been heavily nominated across all categories. See our list of recommendations.
- Our final Fourth Friday Tampa collaboration with Some Sort of Show is coming up on Christmas-Eve Eve (12/23). Join us for another night of sketch comedy!
Once again, THANK YOU for all of your help in reaching our 2016 Annual Campaign goal. This is a major accomplishment for our company and one that is going to help ensure we’re here for years to come. The Annual Campaign directly provides the stability to this organization that allows us to do even more for our community, our programs, and the artists who make our work possible.
Happy Holidays!
