Shawn Paonessa transformed modern theater when he premiered his revolutionary character “Shawn” for Jobsite’s The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). Made of the softest hair and crafted under the tutelage of master Wink Martindale, the comedic genius of Shawn Paonessa wrought an uncountable number of seizures and soiled underpants upon those so blessed to have witnessed it live. Since then, he has carved a warpath of ha-ha in The Bible (abridged), America (abridged) and 347 encore presentations of Shakespeare (abridged), and will indubitably bring down funny-bone shock and awe to the forthcoming Books (abridged) (January 2007). When not wielded like the Power of Grayskull by Jobsite’s artistic staff, he is performed Bob Hope-style for the troops who don’t have the patriotic fortune to be stationed anywhere near the Middle East. Paonessa also co-wrote The March of the Kitefliers, which earned 17 Gobioff awards, including Great American Play. |
