David M. Jenkins is also chair of Jobsite, and was an original founding member of the company. He has an MFA in Acting from the University of Florida and has also studied with Moscow State University, the Russian Academy and the San Francisco Mime Troupe. Local directing credits: Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, The Mineola Twins, Murder Ballads (co-directed), Titus Andronicus, Dracula, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, The History of the Devil, Christie in Love and Lysistrata (co-directed). Selected local acting credits: The March of the Kitefliers, Bloody Poetry, Cloud 9, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged), subUrbia, MAXWELL and True West. David was awarded an Individual Artist Grant from the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and was voted Best Actor by the readers of Weekly Planet in 2001, and in 2003 was honored as one of the 30 Under 30 by the Business Journal of Tampa Bay. He lives in Tampa Heights with his wife and their menagerie of creatures. |
