Jobsite Theater – downtown Tampa's resident professional theater company and recipient of four 2006 Creative Loafing Best of the Bay Critic's Picks Awards (Best Theater Company, Best Artistic Direction, Best Play and Best Actor) is proud to announce their 2007-2008 season, their ninth season of bringing quality innovative theater to Tampa Bay.
The 2007-2008 schedule features some of the most prominent names in drama: Tom Stoppard, David Mamet, Caryl Churchill, August Strindberg and Lee Blessing. It also hosts the work of accomplished writer, director and Oscar-winning actor, Tim Robbins, and a deliciously dark musical based on the stories and illustrations of the inimitable Edward Gorey.
Since Jobsite was granted residency at TBPAC, they have produced blockbuster hits like The Pillowman, The Goat, Frankie and Johnnie in the Clair de Lune and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) alongside original works like Joe Popp’s MAXWELL and the romantic comedy The March of the Kitefliers. Jobsite boasts an ensemble of local artists, 20 to 30 members strong at any given time.
Jobsite has shown impressive, consistent growth in recent years. From 2004 to 2006, Jobsite increased their overall attendance by 53%. The current season has already smashed last season's records with still two plays left to produce.
In a continuing effort to make it easier on the public, Jobsite has simplified their schedule and pricing. All productions will run at 8pm Thursday through Saturday and 4pm on Sundays with all tickets priced at $24.50. Rush ticket prices for students, seniors and military have been reduced to $10, and will only be available 30 minutes prior to curtain with cash at the window.

Season Tickets
Did you know we have one of the lowest-priced tickets for a professional theater company in the entire region? And we're going to save you even more money.
Season tickets are $117.60 for any night you choose to a six-show season. It's a savings of 20% off regular tickets, and you only pay one $8 handling fee per order – whether you buy one or 10 season tickets – so you get to see a show for free and you still get some extra money left over.
Jobsite has standardized pricing and curtain times to make it easier on our patrons. All six plays will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 4pm. Single tickets sell for $24.50 each ($140 for six, not including individual ticket fees), but a season ticket costs only $117.60. SEASON TICKETS ARE A GREAT BARGAIN!

Why Subscribe?
Save Your Money!
First, you'll save a bunch of money. Subscriptions are 20-30% off regular ticket prices. Also, you're only paying a one-time $8 handling fee for the entire order. That certainly beats single tickets fees of $5.75/internet, $4/phone or $1.50/window (that's per ticket, not per order!) Season tickets can save you up to $32.25 in fees alone, not to mention the discount on the tickets. By the time you're done, you could be saving well over $60 per person.
Always a Seat
Ever gotten shut out of a show because the tickets were sold out? We hate turning people away at the door, and it's happened plenty. It happens every season, and some plays like The Pillowman and The March of the Kitefliers enjoy entire sold-out runs. Season tickets guarantee you a seat.
Flexible Scheduling
We know what some of you are thinking: you're busy, right? You don't know what you're doing this weekend, much less next year. As a season ticket holder, you pick any night opening weekend you want to come. If something comes up and a particular night for a show isn't convenient, you can call the ticket office and move your tickets to another night. The first exchange is free and it's only $1 per ticket after that. Convenient!

You Make the Show Better
Season ticket holders make Jobsite stable. More season ticket holders means less work filling the theater show-by-show and less money we have to spend on marketing. That's more money we can put into the productions themselves. Money that could go to the artists (who all have to work day jobs) and to build better sets and costumes. So the bigger question is why not subscribe? It's a win-win situation. Please consider becoming a season ticket holder today! |
